We're strong believers in the site evaluation and usability testing methods that rely on and trust the observed experiences of your customers. Usability testing is different from market research in that it doesn't seek to find out the "what if," but rather it observes what actually is, meaning what your users do at your site (you also get to hear what they think of it, often in great detail!).
We'll work with you to design a testing solution that will help you pinpoint opportunities to improve your site. Some of the most common types of tests are:
• Single Site Usability Test
We test and evaluate the user experience on a single site (yours or a competitor's). Deliverables are a detailed report, including analysis, recommendations, and can include a highlight video of the testing sessions.
• Competitive Benchmarking Usability Test
We test, evaluate, and compare two or more sites. This is useful for understanding how your site stacks up against the competition and can illuminate opportunities to develop a competitive edge.
• Multiple Iteration Site Test
We test and evaluate a single site several times over the course of a defined period of time, coordinating with your development release schedule. Each test gives you the information you need to successfully produce further iterations of the design, and enables you to benchmark each new iteration against previous versions.
• Project Consulting-Integrating User Centered Design
Working with your internal development team we provide consulting, user testing, and evaluation at strategic points in your development process, enabling you to make design and functionality implementation decisions based on real-world user needs. Each engagement is unique, and is built around the specific needs of your project.
After we've compiled the data from a test we deliver in person a detailed written report explaining the results with recommendations that will help you improve on any areas of concern we may find. Of course, because we're also experts at fixing usability issues, we can also help you design the solution.
